Accessories and the five stat slots
You wear five pieces for stats and five more for looks. Any mix goes: three masks at once, or two haori at once, both fit, and demons wear the same pieces as Slayers. For damage, the usual five starts with the Stone Haori, the Bamboo Muzzle and the Demonic Lantern, then fill the last two slots with a +2 mask.
How the slots work
- The bottom of your inventory has two rows. Items in the
Statsrow give their stats; items in theVanityrow are for looks. - A slot does not care what kind of item goes in it. Masks, horns, haori, lanterns, scarves, necklaces, hats and outfits all compete for the same five.
- Lanterns sit under
Waistin the Archives, so a lantern costs you a stat slot like anything else. - Save more than one set: the presets on the left of the inventory let you switch between, say, a fighting five and a farming five.

The inventory's bottom bar: five Stats slots with UnEquip, then five Vanity slots with Equip Vanity. The card is Stone Slayer Uniform, Legendary: +1 (Additional Damage), 1.01x (Additional Damage Factor), +105 (Max Health), +55 (Max Stamina).
The three pieces damage builds share
Each gives +2 flat damage, a damage factor on top, and more health than any Legendary mask. All three are 3% drops, so expect to farm.

Stone Haori, Mythic: +2 (Additional Damage), 1.02x (Additional Damage Factor), +150 (Max Health), +80 (Max Stamina).
Stone Haori drops from Gyorei. It has the biggest factor of the three. Does a Legendary mask beat it? No: a mask gives the same +2 with no factor and 65 less health.

Bamboo Muzzle, Mythic: +2, 1.015x, +160 (Max Health), +80 (Max Stamina).
Bamboo Muzzle, the one people call Nezuko’s muzzle, drops from Nezura. It is in all three builds below.

Demonic Lantern, Mythic: +2, 1.015x, +0.8 (Illumination), +105 (Max Health), +55 (Max Stamina).
Demonic Lantern comes out of World Events Chests, which world bosses reportedly drop. It lights the dark like any lantern, so you are not giving up light for damage.
Where most of these bosses live, and what else they drop, is on the bosses page.
The last two slots
The Silver Fang Mask, the Red Oni Mask and Demonic Horns II have identical stats. All three read +2 damage, +85 health and +45 stamina, so wear whichever two you have. The Red Oni Mask is a 5% Ouwigahara Chest drop and the Silver Fang Mask reportedly comes from the same chests; see the Ouwigahara page for getting there.
Sabito’s Scarred Warding Mask is the stopgap: the same +2, but only +60 health, from a 2% drop off Water Trainee Sabito. Swap it out once a dungeon mask drops.
Reaper’s Outfit trades one point of damage for a factor line, health regen and +180 health. If you die a lot, run it in place of a second mask; if all you want is damage, keep the mask. It reportedly drops at 3% from the Reaper near Windy Peak.
Can you wear two masks, or two haori? Yes. The builds below do exactly that.

Silver Fang Mask, Legendary: +2 (Additional Damage), +85 (Max Health), +45 (Max Stamina).

Demonic Horns II, Legendary: +2, +85, +45. The same three lines as the Silver Fang Mask.

Scarred Warding Mask, Legendary: +2, +60 (Max Health), +30 (Max Stamina). Source 2% (Water Trainee Sabito).

Reaper's Outfit, Mythic: +1, 1.015x, 1.1x (Health Regen Speed), +180 (Max Health), +90 (Max Stamina).
Add up your five
It starts on the usual damage five. Change any slot to see what the swap costs or gains.
+2 damage · 1.02x factor · +150 health · +80 stamina
+2 damage · 1.015x factor · +160 health · +80 stamina
+2 damage · 1.015x factor · +105 health · +55 stamina · +0.8 Illumination
+2 damage · +85 health · +45 stamina
+2 damage · +85 health · +45 stamina
These five add
- Additional Damage
- +10
- Damage factor
- +5.0%
- Max Health
- +585
- Max Stamina
- +305
Also: +0.8 Illumination.
The damage factor adds up each item’s factor line. If the game multiplies them instead, the real figure is a little higher, and the gap only grows past a point once three or more factor pieces are worn.
Three builds players are wearing
Kamado demon, no hat
The Kamado clan already keeps a demon alive in daylight, so the slot a hat would take goes to a second +2 piece. This is the usual damage five exactly: +10 damage and +585 health.

The Stats row: Demonic Horns II, Stone Haori, Silver Fang Mask, Bamboo Muzzle, Demonic Lantern. No hat.
Thunder slayer, two haori
Flame Haori Style 1 in place of a mask. It has no flat damage but a 1.07x factor; its wearer rates it above Flame Haori Style 2 once he has a T3 weapon, since a factor scales with harder hits.

The Stats row: Bamboo Muzzle, Stone Haori, Silver Fang Mask, Flame Haori Style 1, Demonic Lantern. Two haori at once.
A little more health
Reaper’s Outfit in place of the horns. The straw hat here sits in the Vanity row.

Health builds and the Firstlight set
Some ranked players argue the game has moved to health and wear the full Firstlight set: Top, Bottom, Mask, Haori and Lantern. The builder has four of those; with the Black Kumo uniform as the fifth they add +995 health against the damage five’s +585, and no flat damage at all.
Firstlight is crafted, not dropped. The drawings, the ingots and the tier costs are on the Nightfall and Firstlight page, and what ranked play pays is on the Zenith page.
The Black Kumo Slayers Uniform is the block build’s piece: +6 Block Points and faster block regen, from the same World Events Chests as the Demonic Lantern.

Firstlight Top, Class: Tank: 1.046x (Damage Reduction Factor), 1.115x (Health Regen Speed), +180 (Max Health), 1.03x (Max Health Factor), +63.

Firstlight Haori, Class: Titan: 1.16x (Health Regen Speed), +360 (Max Health), +98 (Max Stamina). Crafted at Ouwland.

Black Kumo Slayers Uniform, Mythic, Class: Sentinel: +6 (Block Points), 1.15x (Block Regen), +1 (Damage Reduction), 1.1x (Health Regen Speed), +195, +90. Source 3% (World Events Chest).
Sun hats, cold and light
- A sun hat takes a stat slot. Sun Immunity is one of the hat’s stat lines, and players wear it in the Stats row, so a demon without the Kamado clan gives something up. Drop one of the +2 masks rather than the Haori, Muzzle or Lantern. Which hats protect you, and what each adds, is on the sun hat page.
- Iceveil’s cold. The Everburn Lantern carries
Cold Immunity, but it takes a stat slot, so you give up a damage piece while you wear it. The cold itself is on the map page. - Light. Every lantern here adds Illumination, so you do not need a second one for night farming.

Everburn Lantern, Mythic: Cold Immunity, +0.5 (Illumination), +70 (Max Health), +35 (Max Stamina).
