Slayers 2 beginner guide: your first hour

The first hour, in order

1. 1. Roll your clan before you spawnThe character screen is also the clan screen. Spins from the active codes are worth spending here first. The six rarity tiers and the roll rate the game prints for each are on the clan list. A clan cannot be reset in the shop, only replaced with more spins.
2. 2. Take Krue's bandit job at the village gateYour first quest giver stands by the gate of Windy Peak. Ill take 3 bandits has no level on it and paid Exp +25 and Wen +12 in Paradox’s footage. Repeat it until you reach level 7.
3. 3. Buy a katana from RazePro Game Guides and Paradox both price Raze’s two blades in Windy Peak at 500 Wen (regular) and 1,500 Wen (fancy). A weapon in hand is what starts your Sword Mastery bar filling.
4. 4. Collect Kona's five lost pagesThe map’s Recommended Quest panel starts out showing Book of Guidance and Unlock at Windy Peak. Pro Game Guides says Kona, outside a house on the main path, hands out a quest for five pages hidden in the village and gives the book when you bring them back, and that the book then points you at your next quest.
5. 5. At level 7, fight the bandit bossKrue’s second option reads Ill take the bandit boss(Lv 7). Pro Game Guides, Paradox and XenoTy all call him Zuko, and Pro Game Guides and XenoTy both put his Cutlass at a 20% drop. Both creators point out that it comes with moves of its own.
6. 6. Do Kazu's job in the villageAn NPC in Windy Peak asks Help me clear out a few of these "villagers." Paradox and XenoTy both say the targets carry marks beside the word civilian, that plain civilians should be left alone, and that the later quests stay shut until this errand is done.
7. 7. At level 10, walk through the gate to TomTom’s bear hunt is the next step, then the Mother Bear. The exact levels and rewards, and where Pro Game Guides disagrees with the dialog, are in the level-by-level table.
8. 8. Spend your skill pointsEach level gives three points (Pro Game Guides, and XenoTy says the same). Wall Climb and Double Jump are nodes in this tree, and at least one trainer cannot be reached without climbing. Only Pro Game Guides names the key that opens the menu: M.
9. 9. Equip a titleThe Titles tab in XenoTy’s menu lists All (49). The one he opens, Monster Hunter, asks you to Defeat 100 bosses. and adds +10 (Max Health). Titles only help while equipped.
10. 10. After dark, look for Kuro near the bearsThe night merchant opens with Well now... not many travelers find me out here after dark. In XenoTy’s recording his stock ran from 2,400 to 15,000 Wen, with a few items in Robux. Pro Game Guides says he leaves at dawn.
11. 11. At level 25, choose a pathSlayers learn a breathing style from a trainer at 25; see becoming a Slayer. Demons need negative reputation and Muzan at night; see becoming a demon. This is the expensive choice to reverse.

Choices that cost ore to undo

The shop sells a reset for most of these. Prices are as shown in XenoTy’s recording, made before release: the Robux prices had a discount running, so the struck-through figure is the undiscounted one. Ore comes slowly. Final Selection pays one, and so does the level 100 supply quest in the snow.

After the first hour

  Every quest giver with the level printed in the dialog: the leveling table.

• The two-hour trial

  Humans only, with three lives and a boss at the end: Final Selection, step by step.

• Getting around faster

  Shrines teleport you between villages, and a horse covers the ground between them.
