The Black Marketer
A travelling trader in a horned straw hat whose shelf carries gear with Sold by Black Marketer on its item card, like the Gauntlet and the Akatsuki Straw Hat. By players’ accounts he turns up every two hours at one of about ten spots, stays roughly half an hour, and leaves.
When he arrives, a notice with his portrait pops up at the top left of the screen, in every server at once by players’ accounts.
Every two hours, on even hours UTC: 00:00, 02:00, 04:00 and so on.

When he comes
- Players report every two hours, on the even hour UTC. Players in US Eastern and Mountain time saw him on even hours during daylight saving time; players in India see him at half past odd hours. Both fit the same UTC clock, which the countdown above converts for you.
- About 30 minutes, then gone. Most reports agree on half an hour. He appears by day as well as by night, so do not wait for dark.
- The same in every server. Players say the timer is shared across servers, and two players in different servers were shown the very same shelf. By their accounts, hopping servers will not bring him sooner or change his stock.
Where to look
He picks one spot each visit. One guide walks all ten of these; players report a few more, so if the list comes up empty, look around each area rather than only at the exact spot.
- Hidden Mist Village, near Yagane's shop
- Mistfall Harbor, under the bridge
- Iceveil, down from the shrine toward Domae's area, by a house
- Near Akazo: up through the cave from Bamboo Grove or the Windy Peak shrine, then left
- Just outside Windy Peak
- Butterfly Estate, over the south fence
- Butterfly Estate, inside the fence
- East of Butterfly Estate across the bridge, at the edge
- East of Butterfly Estate, down in the pit

Four of the ten are around Butterfly Estate, so start there if you are close. The region names are on the map. The Night Market Locator pass (500 Robux) marks him for you; it is bought on the game’s Roblox page, not in the in-game shop, and VIP does not include it. See game passes.

What he sells
His shelf has two parts. The bottom row has been the same five on every shelf seen so far: Frozen Hearts and Refinement Guards. The top row changes from visit to visit, from a 400 Wen eye patch to the 110,000 Wen armour. He only sells; nothing has been seen being sold to him, so loot still goes to Ginzo.

Some recordings show the four Robux slots a fifth cheaper, at 80, 400, 240 and 960, most likely a per-player discount. A Frozen Heart summons the Yeti, which can drop the cold-proof lantern (see the map page); what a Cache holds is not shown.

Not every slot has been named: a few 7,500, 4,500 and 1,500 Wen icons and one more 65,000 Wen item are still unread. The hats’ stats are on the sun hat page, the smaller pieces on accessories.

Waiting for the Gauntlet
The Gauntlet is 100,000 Wen and only comes up in a rotating slot, so it can take many visits: one player checked about ten times without seeing it. Players say the stock is the same in every server, so hopping is unlikely to help. Save the Wen between visits; a world boss loop pays for it, as the Wen and Ore page shows. Which arts the Gauntlet carries is on weapon compatibility.
The merchant by the bears is Kuro, not the Black Marketer
Many players find a hooded trader near the bears every night and think they have found the black market. That is Kuro, a different NPC: he stands in one place after dark, opens with Well now... not many travelers find me out here after dark., and players say he sells the same things every time. The shelf pictured is his from before launch. The Black Marketer wears a horned straw hat, moves between spots, and greets you with See anything you like? I don’t stay long.
At night, an NPC named Kuro opens a grid of twelve items: eight priced in Wen (2,400 to 15,000) and four in Robux (200, 128, 96, 76).
Is there trading in Slayers 2?
No. There is no trade menu, you cannot drop items for someone else, and the developer has not announced trading. The only way to give another player something is the shop’s Gift to... box on the Robux tab, which buys a boost or reset for them. One player reports a friend was banned after receiving a gift, so be careful with strangers offering one.
Anyone promising to trade you an item in the game is not offering something the game can do. The shop prices are on the game passes page.
