Liv’s Lucky Penny

Liv, the moustached coin-flipper under the big tree near Water Trainee Sabito, has lost his lucky penny. It is across the pond from his tree, tucked into the corner of a low ledge by the red bridge. He also has a second, longer job for you.

Where the penny is

From Liv’s tree, head through the bamboo to the pond.
Swim across toward the red arched bridge and the torii gate beyond it.
Climb out on the far bank. Just past the end of the bridge railing there is a low dirt step in the lawn, shaped like an L, with a stone lantern beside it.
The penny lies on the grass in the inside corner of that step. The prompt reads Lucky Penny Pick Up; step past it and the prompt changes to Wall Climb.

Handing it in

Picking it up finishes the quest; Liv thanks you in the chat and the 840 Exp and 75 Wen land at once, with a Health Potion. The Exp is the same whether you are level 25 or 35.

Next: Five Hundred Pennies

Talk to Liv again and he asks you to gather 500 pennies lying around his tree (Ill find the coins(Lv 21)). They are all on the grass within sight of the tree, so it is a matter of patience rather than travel. It pays 2,280 Exp (more with an Exp multiplier) and 270 Wen.

Finish it and Liv offers you a bet: one coin flip for every Wen you are carrying, 1.5x on heads, nothing on tails. What that flip is worth is on the Wen and Ore page.
