The permit and the stamp

1. 1 · Sofen, level 45

   Talk to Dock Master Sofen on the harbour docks and pick Ill find the permit stamp(Lv 45). Accepting takes 5,000 Wen: one player’s counter drops from 59,581 to 54,581 at that moment, and Kingkade, MineBlox and OP GAME GUIDES give the same figure.

2. 2 · The stamp

   It sits on a wooden crate with a blue tarp, against the cliff across the water from Sofen. Press T at Permit Stamp. On release day it was on a table indoors, which is why older guides send you into a house.

3. 3 · Back to Sofen

   He hands over the Fishing Permit and 2,700 experience, and tells you to show it to the fisherman. Jeso, on the same dock, will now sell you a rod.

The three rods

The Rare rod asks for five Golden Fish on top of the Wen, and you catch those with the Basic rod first. The creators map and midnyte put that at one to six hours depending on the bait. The Legendary rod’s Items catch tier is what lets it pull up gear. Older cards from one recording also printed a catch chance on the rods; later cards dropped that line, so it is left out here.

Bait, and the quest that unlocks the good one

• Worm4 Wen from Jeso. The name is never printed; creators call it worm bait.
• Fish Head6 Wen from Baitmonger Nori, after Shiori's quest. Rare. 0.5x bite speed, +0.1 Fish Luck.
• Golden TentacleNori, x10 for 50 and x75 for 350 in a green Robux-style currency, or Sealed Caches: 12% T3, 8% T2, 3% T1. Legendary. +0.4 Fish Luck.
• Drowned LureThe puzzle reward in Isao's chain. Legendary. Its card says the bite does not spend it.

Baitmonger Nori, in a house in Hidden Mist Village, only sells Fish Head once you have done Shiori’s Restock the Infirmary at Butterfly Estate. The creator map thinks it needs level 70. She wants 10 each of three elixirs, and Alchemist Meku on the harbour docks sells them for Wen plus Demon Horns:

• Health Elixir: 350 Wen and 2 horns each
• Health Regen Elixir: 500 Wen and 2 horns each
• Stamina Regen Elixir: 750 Wen and 2 horns each

That is 16,000 Wen and 60 Demon Horns for the lot. The quest pays 7,200 experience, 810 Wen and one Ore back.

What comes out of the water

The Archives fishing tab holds sixteen cards: three rods, four baits and nine catches. The everyday ones are OuwFish, Coral, Sea Horse and a few others; Golden Fish is the Rare one you need for the second rod. Crustadon and Krathulon are Legendary fish, and the Legendary rod chain turns on them.

With the Legendary rod, gear comes up too. Four cards for gear and materials list Fished up as a source: the Lost Mask and Lost Cape (both Mythic, also 0.9% from a Lost Chest), the Lost Shotgun, and the Mythic Refinement Ore that high refines and the Mythic reforge need. The Lost Shotgun’s rarity reads Impossible, and it has the same headline stats as a Firstlight weapon.

The Legendary rod, step by step

1. 1 · The clue

   Catch one Crustadon and one Krathulon, then Sofen offers to read you a dead fisherman’s file for 2,500 Wen. Ashira RBX says the clue is optional if you already know where to go.

   

2. 2 · The Drowned Lure

   At night, on the rocky ledge across from the waterspout by the red bridge at Mistfall Harbor, fish with the Basic rod and no bait. After five successful catches the next one is the Drowned Lure. Builderboy TV’s note on screen says to unequip every bait first.

3. 3 · Isao, at night

   The ghost of Legendary Fisherman Isao appears under the red bridge after dark. Bring him two Crustadon and two Krathulon; he points you downriver, past two drops, toward a tree; the rest of his line is cut off on screen.

   

4. 4 · The tree ledge

   The grass ledge by that tree is near Butterfly Estate. Equip the Drowned Lure and fish until the rod comes up. The creator map needed about ten tries, and Benni’s group anywhere from six to over forty, so expect a while. It also earns the Legendary Fisherman title.

   

What fishing pays

Angler Runo, near the stamp crates, runs The Morning Haul from level 45: two each of OuwFish, Sea Horse, Coral and OuwFwesh into his crates, for 790 Wen and 1,802 experience (that player had a 1.03x title bonus). The creator map says it pays better than selling common fish.

Ginzo by the harbour shrine buys everything else. MoldySugar’s overnight haul of 1,417 pieces sold for 98,120 Wen and 17 ore in one go.

That haul came from an AFK macro, an outside program that plays the minigame by reading the screen. Macros are unofficial downloads; one creator says a macro he took apart was saving Google cookies. We do not link any.
