Slayers 2 breathing training

Paying a breathing trainer starts a quest of 6 steps. Five are minigames, and the last is always a fight with that style’s trainee. Each step stays locked until the one before it is done, so the order below is the order you play them in. Walk into a marked station and use T at the Train prompt.

A quest list titled Thunder Breathing Training with six steps

Thunder Breathing Training 0/6: Meditate, Cup Training, Push ups, Aim Training, Boulder Split, Defeat the Thunder Trainee. Each locked step reads Do … first. Rewards Exp +963 (1.07x), Thunder Breathing Unlock, Wen +405.

How to meditate

  1. Go to the training house at Butterfly Estate: the long room with a red floor and dark mats. The step’s marker points there once it is active.
  2. Stand on a mat. The prompt reads Meditation; use T.
  3. A bar appears with a moving ball and a yellow marker. Click each time the two line up. The percentage underneath climbs with good clicks.
  4. Keep going until it reaches 100%. It also drains between hits (one recording drops from 61% to 56%), so steady clicking matters more than one perfect hit.

The mat's prompt: Meditation with T and Train. The chat line reads Better than most manage on their first try. and the list now says Thunder Breathing Training 1/6.

Not M. That key opens the menu and skill tree in Slayers 2; answers telling you to press M are about the previous game. Thunder, Insect, Serpent, Flame, Stone meditate first; Wind does it as step 5; Water and Sound never meditate.

The order for each style

Read off each style’s own quest tracker. The link on each row opens that recording at the tracker. Rows marked before release come from footage filmed before the game opened, and could have changed since.

The readable trackers pay Exp +900 (Thunder’s shows 963 with an exp boost), the breathing unlock and Wen +405. What each trainer charges before the quest starts (demon horns, levels, weapons) is on the breathing styles page; horns are farmed as described under Demon Horns.

The quick ones

Three cups on a dark table, one lifted, with a counter and three hearts

Three cups on a table, one lifted. 0 / 10, three red hearts, Exit.

Cup Training

A ball goes under one of three cups, they shuffle, you pick. Ten right answers, three hearts to lose, and the shuffle speeds up as you go. One creator’s tip: keep your cursor on the cup with the ball the whole time.

Thunder, Insect, Flame and Sound only.

Two mats, each with the prompt Pushups, T, Train. A pulsing ring hangs over the player.

Push ups

On a mat in the same house. Rings pop up around the screen: click when the shrinking inner ring meets the outer one. A percentage underneath fills as you hit them.

Every style.

Aim Training

In the clearest recording it is just outside the house, at the archery targets. Targets appear on a wooden wall; click them fast to fill the bar. Two creators call it the easiest step.

Thunder, Insect, Water, Wind, Serpent and Flame only.

The two boulder steps are different games

Boulder Split: survive the timer

At the rope-bound rock on the high ground. Circles slide along tracks and you drag with them for about 30 seconds (the counter starts at Survive 29s) without losing all three hearts. A short scene with a masked swordsman plays when it is done.

Thunder, Insect, Wind, Serpent, Flame, Stone and Sound only.

Boulder Push: beat the clock

A fenced maze in an area labelled Wilderness. Push the rock along the path to the end before the timer runs out. The recording above starts at 2:29; creators since describe two to three minutes. One creator’s tip: look up from the rock now and then so you follow the path, not the fence.

Water, Wind, Serpent and Stone only.

Steps only some styles get

A foggy stone corridor with a timer at the top left and three hearts at the top

A foggy stone corridor. Timer 5:58 top left, three hearts top centre, Exit at the bottom. Recorded before release.

Parkour Dungeon

A timed obstacle course: three hearts, a clock near six minutes, spikes, and levers you pull to open the way. A patch note read out in one video says the spikes were removed for mobile players. Double jump has a cooldown of a few seconds, so wait for it before the long gaps. One creator says it is the same dungeon as the one in Final Selection, so clearing one prepares you for the other.

Water and Stone only.

Underwater Rocks

Five glowing rocks on the bottom of a pond (the counter reads 0/5). Your air runs out underwater and three different creators drown in their recordings, so surface between rocks. In one recording a rock did not count before the earlier steps were done, so finish those first.

Water and Sound only.

Barbell squats

An outdoor squat rack. A tall meter on the right has a green zone, and the recording keeps the indicator inside it while the percentage fills.

Sound only.

The trainee, and after

The final step is a mini boss named after the style. Three have health bars on record, with their drops: Water Trainee Sabito, the Stone Trainee and the Thunder Trainee.

Demons meet these minigames too. Crushing an art orb starts a core-training quest; the one filmed so far, Shockwave’s, is push-ups, barbell squats and both boulders before a fight. See orbs. Chose the wrong style? The BREATHRESET code resets it for free while it lasts.
