Fighting styles
Everyone starts with Combat, plain fists. On top of that you can learn one fighting style from one of three masters: Soryu and Reaping Blades for demons, Tai Chi for Slayers. Each master’s nameplate shows who they teach and from what level, and each sets the same kind of four-step trial.

How every trial works
- 20 Common Fish, handed over to the master (for Soryu and Reaping Blades the tracker says only fish handed over count). You need a rod, and a rod needs the Fishing Permit.
- A scroll hidden underwater; the tracker line under it says where.
- Fist M1 damage: 8,000 for Soryu and Tai Chi, 12,000 for Reaping Blades. Only punches count.
- A trainee mini boss in a hidden cave. It also drops the style’s later move at 10%.
One style at a time. A master will not teach you over another style. Changing means the shop’s Reset Fighting Style, 7 Ore or 100 Robux; the resets page has every price.
Style moves come out of your fists, so using them raises both your fist mastery and that style’s own mastery bar.
You already carry a style. I do not teach over another master's work.
Combat, Common: Bare fists, kept as the starting stance. Most demons cast their Blood Art through it when no weapon is drawn. +1 (Additional Damage).
Fighting Style, Common: A persistent fist form that carries any learned fighting style, keeping its place as teachers and forms change.
Soryu (demons, level 62)
Kazuma also wants 12 Demon Horns before he will start you. The fish, the scroll under his pier, 8,000 fist damage and Soryu Trainee Goki in Veilfall Cavern are walked through step by step on the Soryu Trial page. Goki drops Face Breaker.
Tai Chi (Slayers, level 65)
The only style a Slayer can learn. Renjiro stands by the cliff house above Hidden Mist Village, where Ginzo’s jewelry box is too. His trial rewards 2,340 Exp, 1,053 Wen and the style.
The tracker’s hints: the scroll is Deep in the water below Renjiro, and Suzume, the trainee, is In a hidden cave beneath the Stone Hashira's retirement home. The way in is reportedly an underwater tunnel near the Stone trainer, so an underwater breathing elixir from Alchemist Meku at Mistfall Harbor helps.
Suzume has 1,050 health and drops a Rare Chest, plus Twin Harmony at 10%. Twin Harmony sits on X, and V0.182 made it 50% faster; the other move is Flowing Palm.
'Tai Chi' is not something I hand over. Earn it, and it will already be yours by the time I say so. with Not yet.

Reaping Blades (demons, level 100)
Players call it the Reaper style; in the game it is Reaping Blades, and it is not the Reaper blood art. Zurinyz lives in a hut in Iceveil Valley, so bring cold protection (see the map page).
It is the hardest trial: 12,000 fist damage instead of 8,000. The scroll is In the lake beneath the falls, on the road to the bamboo sanctuary, and Kuzan, the trainee, waits in A cave where small blue caps grow on the rock and snow. He has 1,530 health, drops an Ice Chest and Traversal Reap at 10%. The trial pays 3,600 Exp and 1,620 Wen; Cross Reaver is the other move.

Which one is best?
For a Slayer the question answers itself: Tai Chi is the only choice. For a demon it is Soryu or Reaping Blades, and the game ranks neither. Soryu is often rated ahead in PvP, since it has a counter, and Reaping Blades ahead against bosses. Soryu also opens 38 levels earlier.
