How to get Stone Breathing in Slayers 2

Gyorei turns you away until you have an Axe and Mace. After that he wants 4 Beast Cores, then takes 4,000 Wen when the training begins. No Demon Horns at all: one mini boss and a night of core farming cover the whole list.

The order that saves you a second trip

Axe and Mace
A 7% drop from the Stone Trainee. Half of all players have it by kill 10; nine in ten by kill 32.

4 Beast Cores read on screen
From the horned demons that roam at night. Where and how many kills: Beast Cores.

4,000 Wen read on screen
Taken when you accept the training, not asked for in a line of its own. Two recordings show the counter drop by exactly this much.

Level 25
The option reads Ill learn Stone Breathing(Lv 25). Wall Climb in the skill tree gets you up the last rock.

Seen 5 Beast Cores elsewhere? Pro Game Guides and two creators’ own captions say 5. The trainer’s line in the game says 4, in footage from before and after release.

Getting into Stone Sanctuary

Start at the Bamboo Grove spawn crystal and head past the Mother Bear.
Keep on the lower path through the Wilderness. The upper climb leads to the Thunder trainer instead; the two areas sit side by side on the map.
Turn left at the bottom and climb the rock face. The banner that pops up reads Stone Sanctuary.

The same yard holds The Stone Hashira, also named Gyorei. That one is a world boss with a health bar, not the trainer; killing him costs Reputation.

The Axe and Mace is not a ticket, it is your weapon

Every Stone move is cast with it in hand, and it levels its own mastery bar beside Stone’s. It is a Tank-class weapon with a damage-reduction line. The trainee that drops it is a 600-health mini boss on a grassy hill, next to the Thunder trainee’s marker on the minimap.

Arcs of Justice drops from The Stone Hashira in Stone Sanctuary. His bar showed it at 5% before release and 10% after, so on this boss the patch note’s “boss skill drop rates by 5%” reads as five extra points. The drop only counts once you know Stone and the moves before it. Names on some fan sites (Volcanic Rock, Demolishing Blow) are not what the game shows.

Is it worth it?

Tanky and armored, but slow. Destructoid keeps it out of its top PvP tier because the moves take time to land. Beebom and Pro Game Guides describe the same recent change in nearly the same words, a second-hit guardbreak and an armored ultimate with a counter that comes back less often; no developer note on Stone has turned up to confirm it.
