Sonic Reaper Demon

The Reaper boss

The Reaper boss, titled Sonic Reaper Demon, fights only at night, in the west of Bamboo Grove. It drops Sonido Surge, the Reaper art's ultimate, at 5% and Reaper's Outfit at 3%.

Do not mix it up with Reaper Trainee Kuzan in Iceveil, the Reaping Blades fighting-style trainee.

The west edge of Bamboo Grove at night

West of the Bamboo Grove label, between the grove and the waterfall cave by Windy Peak, next to Sumari's spot.

  1. Go to Bamboo Grove and head to its west side.
  2. By day the spot shows Come back at night; come back after dark.
  3. Carry on west to the waterfall cave for Gyutai and Datai on the same trip.

Sonido Surge is the last move of the Reaper art. The outfit's 3% is among the lowest chances on any demon boss.

A night loop with Sumari

  • Its health grew to 4,000 with two players on it.
  • One player had both drops within about ten fights.
  • It stands between Bamboo Grove and the waterfall cave, so a night run can go Yahari, Sumari, the Reaper, then Gyutai and Datai.
  • One creator calls its outfit the best gear in the game for damage; that is one opinion, and at 3% it is a long farm.

Is this where Reaping Blades comes from?
No. Reaping Blades is a fighting style with its own trainer; see fighting styles.
Is The Sickle Reaper the same boss?
No. The Sickle Reaper is Hoyuzo, who drops Sickles and Demon Horns in the cave past the Mother Bear. Reaper Trainee Kuzan in Iceveil is a third, separate NPC.
