The Serpent King

Obari (Obanai)

Obari stands in a paved square with a torii, right beside the Mother Bear, so the two share a trip. Everything a Serpent user farms is on his bar: the Serpent Katana, the Serpent Haori and Slithering Serpent, the style's last move, now at 10%.

The skill tree's last Serpent node simply says Defeat Obari, which sends a lot of players looking for him.

The torii square by the Mother Bear

A paved stone square with a low wall and a torii, north-east of Bamboo Grove and right next to the Mother Bear. The Hidden Mist shrine is a short walk south-east.

  1. Teleport to the Windy Peak shrine and ride east, or to the Hidden Mist shrine and walk north-west.
  2. Ride east up a misty path under a torii; Obari's square is just past the Mother Bear's bar.
  3. Zentaro stands a short ride further east, so the two chain well.

A luck boost multiplies every line and says so: with (2x Luck) his bar has read 6%, 10% and 20%. The scroll line reads Already Have once you own the move. How the last move unlocks is on the Serpent page.

His Serpent kit

  • He fights with Serpent's own moves, including the last one you are farming him for.
  • His health is 3,000 alone and goes up by 1,000 for each extra player hitting him.
  • Each kill costs 120 Reputation; see reputation.

The skill tree says Defeat Obari. Which Obari?
The boss in the square by the Mother Bear, not the Serpent trainer of the same name.
I killed him 100 times with no katana.
At 5%, about one player in 170 goes 100 kills without it. It is rare, but it happens. The 35-kill pity is for the scroll line.
