How to get Beast Cores in Slayers 2
Kill a Beast Born Demon at night. The game’s own item list names it as the only source, at 50% a kill, so plan on about two kills per core.

The demon that drops them
The Archives screen in the menu lists every item with the enemies that drop it. Beast Core has one line: 50% (Beast Born Demon). The item text adds that trainers ask for these as proof before teaching harder forms, which is why they sit on the breathing requirement lists.
XenoTy’s beginner guide finds one at night and gets a core from it a few seconds later. The one on screen has horns on its head, which is how the narrators describe them.

Where they spawn at night
No video shows a place name and a Beast Born Demon in the same frame. Three creators describe the spot, in their own words.

The first two both end among village buildings; Paradox’s snowy area is a guess in his own words. If you draw a blank near Mistfall Harbor after dark, the map page has the other named areas, including Iceveil Valley.

The 5 for Serpent and 5 for Stone are also on the trainer-route creator’s own caption cards below; those are his notes, not the game’s text. Stone also needs the Axe and Mace, a drop from the Stone Trainee mini boss. One more conflict: Paradox’s narrator says Sound takes Beast Cores rather than horns, while two other sources list 10 Demon Horns and no cores for it.

Add up cores and horns for your plan

Only Serpent, Insect and Stone list Beast Cores. The other 5 ask for Demon Horns, and Water adds Wen.
At a 50% drop, one Beast Core takes two kills on average.
Anything else that takes Beast Cores
- Tai Chi. The fan wiki’s Tai Chi page says its trainer wants at least 5 Beast Cores. That is the only source, and several of that wiki’s other pages have been vandalised, so treat it as a lead.
