Ancient Frost Demon

The Yeti

The Yeti is summoned, not found. Bring a Frozen Heart to the ice block at the back of The White Terror Lair, under the lake south of Butterfly Estate, and hold T to return it. The fight drops the Emberheart Lantern at 25%, the item that keeps Iceveil's cold off you.

The White Terror Lair under the lake

The White Terror Lair: a cave under the lake directly south of the Butterfly Estate shrine, just east of the long red bridge.

  1. Get a Frozen Heart: 10% from a Rare Chest, which Hoyuzo leaves, or from Sealed Caches; the Black Marketer sells them for 10,000 Wen.
  2. Teleport to Butterfly Estate, go behind the houses and down to the water south of the shrine.
  3. Swim into the cave in the waterfall under the lake and follow it to the icy cavern at the back.
  4. Stand by the frozen Yeti and hold T: Frozen Yeti Return the Heart. The heart is used up.

The Emberheart Lantern

The lantern is Legendary, adds +25 Max Health and +20 Max Stamina, and holds off the cold while lit; recharge it at a campfire. The cold is covered on the map page. Each fight uses up a heart, so bring another to fight it again.

Waking it with a Frozen Heart

  • Its beam breaks your block, so dodge it rather than guard; the rest can be blocked.
  • Once it is hurt it calls two small yetis, and reportedly takes no damage until they die, healing if you are slow.
  • One player solos it at level 50; others at 90 to 100 say they could not. A friend or regen potions help.
  • If it vanishes mid-fight, look on the lake above the cave: players report it glitches up there with its bar still up and can still be killed; one video shows the loot in the cave below.

Summoning questions

The Yeti disappeared right before it died.
A fix for it teleporting went out in V0.15, but players still report it. Check the lake surface above the cave.
